East Lansing Art Festival brings art, color to downtown

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – No matter of rain or glow, hundreds loaded the streets Saturday for the first day of the East Lansing Art Pageant.

Organizers report that all over 170 artists have been exhibiting their do the job.

For newcomer Millie Funk, showing her art is an chance that she expended several years ready for.

 “My professor in 2019 despatched me the connection to the rising artists and I applied and I was accepted in 2020.,” stated Funk. “But we know what transpired in 2020 and 2021.”

Owing to the pandemic, the festival was canceled for two years straight.

During that time, Funk was being focused and honing her craft with thread illustrations, the place she mixes in her activities with drawing biology.

Funk couldn’t be more energized that the competition has appear back.

From musicians to painters, Funk mentioned she relished remaining amongst the crowds.

The competition will be going on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
