My story begins as a younger boy or girl when we immigrated to Canada from the Uk. On my way to university each individual day, I would move the neighbourhood milk wagon, pulled by a dappled gray mare named Babe. Every single working day I would give her a deal with. She looked ahead to this, it’s possible much too a great deal. The milkman would often complain that Babe would refuse to go from her supply location till I experienced arrived and provided her the morning take care of!

 

 

That was the beginning of my like of horses. About the years, I had various horses of my possess which I relished riding and displaying.

 

 

I inevitably gave up riding when I retired. Getting my like for horses in a diverse direction, I began painting them. In my paintings, I attempt to relay to the viewer all the pleasure I experience when I’m near to them.

 

 

I love applying my brushes to transfer around the canvas. It reminds me of what it felt like to stroke and groom my horses, serving to to deliver them to daily life for me.

 

 

Horses are not my only appreciate. I adore all of nature’s animals—particularly cats, canines and all wildlife. I also paint my 2nd like, wildlife and domestic animals, that have captured my fascination.

 

 

Around the years, I have painted in numerous mediums, starting with pastels, then graphite and watercolour and on to my remaining medium—oils. I find that oils create a vibrancy in my paintings. Rigorous colour can be obtained by employing them. This brings my animals to daily life, especially in the photorealistic design and style that I use.

 

 

In April 2015, I was chosen to paint 1 of 27 fibreglass horses displayed by Headwaters Tourism—the Ontario, Canada, internet marketing corporation symbolizing Dufferin County and the Towns of Caledon, Erin, Mono and Shelburne in the Province of Ontario. These horses were being made in celebration of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games. This was an remarkable moment for me, and actually an honour to be selected.

 

 

In Oct 2017, I could not have been extra energized and honoured that my artwork “Shadows” was chosen out of 2,000 parts to be showcased at Artwork Structure Consultants for their yearly art opposition and show Artwork Comes Alive. I hope you appreciate my paintings.
