It is an unappealing, bathos-loaded folly that proves my adage that 95 p.c of all public sculpture is crap. Thank goodness this crap is only short term.
The artists may perhaps be ditzy and clueless when it arrives to sculpture, but their hearts are in the correct spot.
The sculpture is lousy burlesque recklessness, a travesty that theatricalizes calamity.
As an artwork critic, I also come to feel compelled to incorporate that if you like the sculpture, I’m worried it usually means that you have rather bad taste.
