Wildlife Wednesday – Underwater at Wakatobi, Indonesia!

A really renowned French diver the moment identified as Indonesia’s Wakatobi an underwater Nirvana. I am not heading to quibble with Jacques Cousteau. Past 7 days I traveled with incredibly good good friends and critical underwater pictures gearheads (which I am not) to this island archipelago. My good friends endured missing luggage and experienced to rent gear, and I, a fish out of h2o performing underwater camera get the job done, battled versus more powerful-than-predicted currents, a leaking mask, and balky SD playing cards. The good thing is on the past few times of capturing matters worked on their own out  and I managed to get a few seriously awesome photographs that will in good shape incredibly properly in the huge new wildlife e-book coming out following year!

A person of the extra demanding factors of photographing underwater in this and related spots are venomous fish – in this case, scorpion fish. On leading of handling the underwater digicam technique although striving to keep regular in a hard present and not scaring absent my topics, I also had to continue to keep myself from disturbing the sea ground. At just one stage my underwater tutorial and myself were balancing ourselves on a little wooden dowel trapped into the sea floor to consider to stabilize ourselves.
